Balance of Opposites

Buddhas - Enlightened ones

The balance of opposites brings universal energy into one. When we are in a state of groundlessness, in the bardo, between life and death, there is no self, only nothingness. We have no control. The universe guides us, like the wind, twisting and turning in many directions. Staying with the feeling of groundlessness, of not having control, of not knowing, makes us let go and break through to the other side, landing with clarity and balance.

Staying with the groundlessness is crucial to maintaining a sense of love for oneself. It allows us to feel and process all emotions. There is no clinging. It keeps us in the moment, being guided through to the other side. We let go of fears and gain a sense of confidence which is sustained by interdependence - a balance between dependence and independence.

Too much independence results in too much ego, thus not allowing other energies to blend, and likewise, too much dependency results in a lack of sense of self, thus being absorbed in other external forces. The balance of independence and dependence allows for love and compassion to be present in one's existence.

Love and compassion is always there.

Violence comes from fear. fear of letting go of the unknown, of what may be there to feel when the dependency is gone. Letting go softens us, gives us tranquility, peace in our lives. It heals us, generating new life force. It allows us to be more forgiving and loving to all sentient beings.
